Russell CANINE, 60, of Crawfordsville died at 7 a.m. Wednesday at his home, 624 E. Pike St. He suffered a stroke last May. Mr. Canine was born July 9, 1901 at New Market, the son of Tude and Martie Canine. He was married to Elizabeth Jackson. Mr. Canine was employed by the Borden Company for the last 12 years and previously worked for the former Cleveland Bakery in Crawfordsville. Mr. Canine belonged to the Freedom Baptist Church and was a member of the Elks & Eagles Lodges. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. John T. Hedges of Brownsburg; a brother, Kenneth L. Canine of Brownsburg, a sister, Mrs. George Loman of Waveland; his father, Tude Canine of Browns Valley and 3 granddaughters. Friends may call at Hunt & Son Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the mortuary, Rev. Paul million officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
