Word has been received here of the death of Douglas Carpenter of Niagra Falls, NY on Monday of last week. Mr. Carpenter had been in poor health but the immediate cause of his death was a paralytic stroke. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Carpenter who lived here in the early part of the 1900s. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Campbell, who is now in Adelaide, So. Australia and by a niece, the daughter of Braxton Carpenter. Mrs. Robert L. Kidd. He was buried at Niagra Falls. He was a cousin of John Demaree. - kbz
