JAMESTOWN – Clayton Carrell, 72, of Rt. 2, a farmer, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Wishard Memorial Hospital at Indianapolis. Born May 22, 1903, at Garfield, he was a son of John and Viola Harris Carrell. He was married to Luttie Pittman on Feb. 7, 1925. She died Nov. 5, 1962. Surviving are a son John Carrell of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. John (Beverly) Gentry of Westville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Three brothers and four sisters are deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Homer Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Shannondale Cemetery.
