ROY CARRELL

Roy Carrell, 84, retired Mid- States employee, died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital, where he had been admitted Saturday. He had been in failing health a long time. A son of John and Viola Harris Carrell, he was born June 14, 1886 in Montgomery County. He was educated in schools of the county and was married in January, 1913, to Ethel Fairfield. Mr. Harris was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Fields and Mrs. Helen L. Chaney, and two sisters, Miss Pearl Carrell and Miss Clara Carrell, all of Crawfordsville, and a brother, Clayton Carrell of Rt. 1, Jamestown. His wife, two brothers and a sister preceded Mr. Carrell in death. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Britt officiating, assisted by Rev. Bennett Fulp, and interment in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. –kbz
