GEORGE CARRINGTON

Russellville, July 5- The death of George Carrington occurred at the Greencaslte Hospital Saturday evening June 30. The body was brought to the hom eof his son, Claudius south of town and the funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 by the Rev. H.A. Davis of Indianapolis. Mrs. Fred Belles, Mrs. Charles Scribner and Mrs. Rossie Spencer sang The Vacant Chair, nearer My God to Thee and In the Sweet By and By. He was the youngest son of Thomas and Turry Carrington and was born January 31 1852 and at the time of his death was 76 years 4 months and 29 days of age. He was united in Marriage to America Eveline Cord, Feb 18, 1875. To this union was born two children, Bertha who died in infancy and Claudius Earl. He is survived by his wife, son and wife and two grandsons, two brothers, John Carrington and Taylor Carrington of this place and several nephews and nieces. Uncle George as he was familiarly called had been in failing health for many years had suffered muc but his last serious illness was of short duration. - kbz
