Jesse T. CARRINGTON, 71, well known resident of the Browns Valley and Waveland communities, passed away at 7:30 Thursday morning, March 23 at the Stoker Nursing Home near Crawfordsville. Mr. Carrington had been seriously ill for a period of only two weeks. He was born in 1878 in Montgomery County the son of Miller and Betty Hicks Carrington. He married Myrtle Kelsey who died just a few years ago. Those who survive are a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Frazee, Richmond and a brother, Leslie Carrington. As a young man Mr. Carrington was well known throughout the county as an amateur baseball player. He was an interior decorator by profession and a barber. He was a member of the Crawfordsville Moose lodge and Browns Valley Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Mitchell, Crawfordsville, conducted the funeral service at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the Browns Valley Baptist Church. Interment was made in Indian Creek, Cemetery. - kbz
