John L. CARRINGTON, 89, passed away at his home at 5:10 Monday. He had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill about two weeks. Mr. Carrington was born near Browns Valley the son of Milton and Bettie Hicks Carrington. He was married to Mollie GALEY in 1897. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary Feb 14th. He was a charter member of the Browns Valley Christian Church and Lynhurst Masonic Lodge at Indianapolis and was treasurer of the lodge for 27 years. Survivors include his wife, one niece and several cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant son, a foster daughter and brother. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Browns Valley Thursday with Rev. Grover DeNeal officiating. Burial in Freedom Cemetery. - kbz
