Miss Goldie Carroll, 76, of 805 W. Market St., died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital. She had been hospitalized since Oct. 11. Born July 4, 1884, in Darlington, she was a daughter of Andrew J. and Ella Smith Carroll. Miss Carroll, who moved here in 1909, attended Darlington schools. She worked on the old Graham Store here and had been employed the past 25 years at the Golden Rule Store. She was a member of the First Christian Church, BPW and Travel Study Club. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Antha Martin of Indianapolis and Miss Lena Carroll of Darlington and a nephew, Henry Carroll Martin of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Orville Carroll. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. (EST) Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home here with Rev. Paul E. Million officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.
