JIMMY CARROLL

Jimmy Carroll, the 9-year-old son of Maurice Carroll left home a week ago to travel on his own responsibility. On Saturday last he was knocked off an LNA&C freight train just south of Michigan City by the target of a switch and then thrown beneath the cars. His body was brought hom to this city for interment which was made on Monday afternoon at Oak Hill. It is to be hoped this lesson at least will be a salutary one to other boys who plan trips of vagabondage - kbz
