John A. Carroll, 60, of the Freedom neighborhood, died on Monday night of heart trouble. He was born in Jefferson County, Tennessee. His wife, who survives, was Ladoka Hayworth. He served four years in the US Marines 1906-10. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and Modern Woodman. There are two sons, Hubert of Browns Valley and Byron of Crawfordsville. Funeral service at Freedom Church this afternoon in charge of Rev. Ray Banks. Burial in Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville. - kbz
