Dennis Carter, 27, of Indianapolis, one of the five persons fatally burned in the crash of a gasoline tanker and six autos in Indianapolis Monday, was the nephew of Mrs. Ruby Shepherd of New Richmond and former Crawfordsville woman. Mrs. Shepherd reported she and her husband, Charles, were en route Tuesday to Indianapolis to be with her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Carter, parents of the crash victim. The young man was married and was the father of two sons. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Moore Funeral Home in Indianapolis where friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
