Oath Catterlin was born in Clinton County March 17, 1841 died July 2, 1912, aged 72 years 3 months 17 days. He was married March 13, 1862 to Francis Sims, who preceded him in death some 47 years. To this union were born two children, Mrs. Fred West of Seattle, Wash who was by his side at the tim eof his death and a son who died at age 11 months. He had been confined to his bed most all the time since January 1, making his illness of over six months' duration. He was a patient sufferer ever having a pleasant smile and glad welcome to all his friends. He was never a member of any Church but a firm believer in a just God and a happy future after death to they who await his coming with true Christian faith. He was a good neighbor, good husband and kind father, in fact his friends were numbered by his acquaintances - kbz
