Darlington, April 1 – Mrs. Ella Carroll, 77, widow of Andrew J. Carroll and a native of this community died Friday at her home in Crawfordsville. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Washington Smith were local pioneers. Her husband died in 1899. Surviving are three daughters, Lena C. Carroll, Darlington, Goldie Carroll, Crawfordsville and Mrs. Antha Martin, Indianapolis; a son, Orville, Crawfordsville business man and a brother, George Smith, Lafayette. – kbz
