Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at Powers Funeral Home for Mrs. Betty Carty. Rev. Gene Sandefur was the minister. Assisting with the flowers and serving as pallbearers were Stanley Norman, John Norman and Albert Brand of Crawfordsville, Robert Taylor of Romney and Carmen Joslin and George Long of Rockville. Mrs. Geneva Middleton served as organist. Burial was in the family lot in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery near New Market. Mrs. Carty died Tuesday in Culver Hospital. – jlr
