Henry CHAMNESS

Henry, son of William S. and Eliza Chamness, was born at Waveland Dec 6, 1873 and died April 18. The funeral at Union, Wednesday was conducted by Rev WF Gibson. His father died four years ago and his only brother, Wesley died April 4, 1903. His only sister died at the age of 4. The mother is thus left to mourn the loss of all her children, as well as that of her husband all her brothers and sisters. Her husband's family consisted of 9 children; but one of them is living. Henry's entire life was spent in Waveland, except for a brief period when his calling as a telegraph operator called him elsewhere. He was of a quiet, retiring disposition, free from vicious habits, and well liked by all who knew him. He united with the Presbyterian Church, March 12, 1899. He also became an active member of the CE Society.
