A few hours before her 64th birthday, Mrs. Acsha CHAPMAN of Bloomingdale RR died at Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton where she had been a patient about 3 weeks. Death occurred at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday July 22, 1958. Mrs. Chapman was prominent in local area community affairs and was a member of the Friends Church of Bloomingdale, the Penn Twp Home Demonstration Club & Parke CO. Art Club. She is survived by the husband, Leland; two daughters, Madeline Craycraft of Bloomingdale and Miss Milley Chapman of Cannelton; a son Theron of Bloomingdale; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Carter of the Friends School, Randalli, Jordan and Mrs. Nora Cosand of Noblesville; two brothers, Walter and Oakley Carter of Russiaville; 8 grandchildren. She was born in Indiana July 23, 1894, the daughter of Charles and Milley Johnson Carter. The body was removed to the Davies Funeral Home in Marshall where friends may call after 2 Thursday and will be taken to the Friends Church in Bloomingdale one hour prior to services which will be held at 11:00 Friday morning.
