Myers CHENAULT

Myers CHENAULT died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. C. Evans, about 5 o'clock on Saturday monrning. he had been in failing health for some time owing to hardening of the arteries. he had gotten up and had made preparations for breakfast and was sitting in a chair when the fatal seizure came. He lived about five minutes after. Funeral services at the home on Monday morning at 11 o'clock were conducted by Rev J. E. Stone. Interment at Maple Ridge. Myers Chenault was the son of John and Ellen Chenault, and was born near Mace, march 6, 1853. He married Ellen NICHOLSON, of Crawfordsville Feb 16, 1875. The wife and three children survive. Mrs. Etta Evans and Hobart, living here and Harry Chenault of Fowler. Mr. Evans  was a member of the Baptist Church and of the New Market lodge Knights of Pythias. He lived for a number of years on the Tom Canine farm north of town where he died but of late years lived on a farm near North Union until bad health compelled him to give up work. - kbz
