Waynetown, May 4- Mrs. Martha E. Chesterson died at 12 o'clock last night at the home of John Esken of this place after a lingering illness of 18 months due to cancer. She was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Brocies and was born in Ohio on June 11, 1860 and was married to John N. Chesterson on March 24, 1877. She was the mother of eight children, six of them being boys, and one of the children died in infancy. She is survived by her daughters, Bessie Esken of this place, Tessa E. Quillen of Crawfordsville; Frederick B. Chesterson of Fowler, Gilbert F. Chesterson of Waynetown, Edgar O. Chesterson of Frankfort, Clifford S. Chesterson of St. Louis, MO., Rolla R. Chesterson of Waynetown and 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Chesterson was a member of the United Brethern Church of Otterbein and was noted for the interest she took in all matters relating to the church. - kbz
