Thorntown - Funeral services for Joseph Chrisman, 81, Boone County farmer who died early Tuesday morning in a fire at his home near here, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home here. The Rev. Doyle Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Plain View Cemetery at Colfax. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday. Mr. Chrisman had lived in Boone County since 1913 and farmed most of his life. He was born Jan. 31, 1892, at Russell Springs, Ky. He was married to Minnie Izzard at Lebanon on Jan. 7, 1913. She preceded him in death. He was married to Bertha White in December of 1942 at Crawfordsville. She survives. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruby Dowell of Logansport and Mrs. Mary Clark of Crawfordsville; two step-sons, Harry Ammerman of Crawfordsville and Robert Ammerman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
