Mrs. William Christy died at her home on East Main Street on
Saturday. She has been suffering from consumption and a complication of
diseases and her death was not unexpected. The funeral services at the Baptist
Church Monday morning were conducted by Rev. Baker and Alley. Interment at
Maple Ridge. Elizabeth Yaryan was born in Greene County, Indiana December 9,
1876. She united with the Baptist Church in Scottsburg at the age of 15. She
has been a member of the Waveland congregation for three years. March 1, 1890 she married William Christy in
Missouri. Four children were born Albert, the oldest, aged 15; Minnie, Samuel
and Nettie, aged 5 all of whom are living. Those from a distance at the funeral
were: Mr. and Mrs. Jas Miller and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. BF Boles of
Elmdale; Mrs. Lightcap and son and Mrs. Rebecca Wilcox of Crawfordsville. - kbz
