Maxine Cedars, 80, formerly of Waynetown died 9:05 am. Thursday in Williamsburg Nursing Home, Crawfordsville.
Mrs. Cedars performed in home health care for the elderly and infirm.
She attended Waynetown Baptist Church. She attended Pimetto High School in Vigo County.
She was born May 4, 1926 at Terre Haute to Loran Elmer and Etta (Haskell) Taylor. On May 4, 1947, she married Harry Richard Cedars. He died Nov 6, 1957. She is survived by a son, Larry (Peggy) Cedars Huntsville, Ala; a sister, DOris Smith, Kokomo; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her parents and a brother, Gerald Ray Taylor are deceased.
Visitation and a celebration of life will be conducted 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown. Funeral services are 6 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Ron Raffignone officiating after which the body will be cremated. There will be a private graveside service for the burial of the ashes Tuesday afternoon at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
