Chenoweth Alta Dunbar

Source: Crawfordsville Review ? Feb 17, 1921

Mrs. Charles Chenoweth died this Friday morning at her home near Pike’s Crossing following an illness of several weeks.  Her condition had been very grave for several days and her death was not unexpected.  Mrs. Chenoweth formerly resided in this community and was a splendid Christian lady and her legion of friends will be grieved to learn of her death. She was about 40 years of age and besides the husband is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lester Harshman and Janet Mildred at home (sic).  The Review joins with the many friends in this community in extending heartfelt sympathy to the husband and children.  The funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon from the Colfax Christian Church at 2 o’clock, Rev. Wilkinson of Thorntown officiating.  Interment will be made in the Plain View Cemetery – thanks to Mary Jo and for the next one too – she’s been so super generous !
