New Market - Mrs. Anna Clark died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louisa Procter last evening at 6:20. Mrs. Clark was 87 and was one of the pioneers of this part of the state. She was born in Shelby Co KY but came to Indiana with her parents when she was a child six year old. She was twice married, first to William Oliver, then to Gardener Clark, Clark dying 47 years ago. To the first marriage two sons were born John Oliver of Russellville and William of Arkansas. There was also one daughter who died in infancy. Mrs. Procter was the only child by the 2nd marriage. Mrs. Clark has been for years a member of the Primitive Baptist church and was always known as a kindly, motherly woman. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 at New Market. - kbz

New Market -- One of the pioneers of this section of Indiana died Sunday night when Mrs. aged 87 was claimed by the infirmites of old age. Her death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louisa Proctor at 6:20. While she was born in Ky, Mrs. Clark had lived in Indiana since she was 6. She was twice married and 3 children were born to the two unions. They are John Oliver of Russellville, William Oliver of Arkansas and Mrs. Proctor of this place. Funeral services are to be held at the church here Tuesday afternoon at 2. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and was respected by all who know her. - kbz
