Samuel Clark, died at his residence about 5 miles northeast of the city, from pneumonia at about 12 o'clock on last Saturday night. His age was 78 years. He was a native of NC and came to this state in 1838, and was accordingly one of our old settlers. He was highly thought of by all who knew him. The funeral services were on last Monday morning. - kbz
