Thorntown - Elmer Clawson, 93 of Rt 2, Jamestown died at 6:10 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been ill the past two months. Mr. Clawson was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church at Shannondale was past master of the Thorntown Masonic Lodge and member of the Thorntown K of P Lodge. He had farmed north of Shannondale for 17 years then moved SE where he famred for several years before moving to his present farm west of Dover in 1951. He was also a musician. Born Dec 12, 1883 in Boone County he was a son of Thomas and Ella Clawson. He married March 27, 1912 to Mary Etta Heaton, she died July 4, 1974. Surviving are two sons, Ray of Dayton, Ohio and Harold of Rt. 2, Jamestown; two brothers, Walter of Thorntown and Henry of Woodland Hills, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Clair (Ethel) Jaques of Kokomo; and 3 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz

Thorntown - Masonic rites for Elmer Clawson, 93, Rt 2, Jamestown will be at 9 p.m. today in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home here. Mr. Clawson, long time Boone County farmer died Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. BUrial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery. The family said memorials may be made in the form of gifts to the Shannondale Bethel Presbyterian Church Ladies Auxiliary. - kbz
