Veedersburg – Fredrick Joe Clawson, 63, of Lion Manor at Veedersburg died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the VA Hospital at Danville, Ill. Mr. Clawson was a retired machine operator. He was a veteran of World War II. Born Sept. 5, 1917, at Veedersbury, he was a son of James A. and Stella Sheets Clawson. Surviving are eight brothers, Albert, Billy and Dale of Veedersburg, Glen of Hillsboro, Jack of Waynetown, Jerry of Missouri, James of California and Robert of Danveres, Ill. Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday in the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with the Rev. William Dittner, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Danville, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday. smc
