Miss Zola Cleveland, 72, formerly of 609 Elm St., died Friday afternoon in Culver Hospital after a long illness. Born April 13, 1898 in Veedersburg, she was a daughter of James William and Elizabeth Shipman McCalment Cleveland. The family moved here when she was nine, and she was a Crawfordsville High School and Butler University graduate. Miss Cleveland taught at schools over the county and also at Arcadia and Sheridan, last teaching at East Union. She was a member of the First Christin Church, where she taught the Young People's Class. She was a member of Circle IV and the Travel Study Group. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. William Antrim, and niece, Mrs. Robert DeMyer, both of Santa Rosa, Calif. A half-sister, Dora Jean McCalment, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Bright and Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Miller officiating and burial in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday.
