Covington, Jan 10, 1944 Mrs. Hattie Jane Clodfelder, 69 of Stringtown died Sunday evening at the Johnson clinic in Covington after extended illness. A native of Montgomery County Mrs. Clodfelder was born March 7, 1874, the daughter of James Henry and Sarah Ellen Phillips Groves. She was a member of the United Brethren church. Surviving are: the husband, Charles Clodfelder; four sons, James Henry at home; George E of Kingman and Albert L and Howard To of Covington; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lela Babb of Covington; Mrs. Flora Huffman of Frankfort and Mrs. Minnie Bush of Perrysville; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a brother, Edward Groves of Kansas City MO. Funeral services will be held at one o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Coal Creek Chapel with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery here. - kbz
