Mrs. Lucinda CLORE, wife of Johnson Clore who died in Crawfordsville December 8, died on Saturday morning after an illness of one month. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Burial in Maple Ridge. She was the daughter of Berryman and Mary Rice Clore, and was born near the High Bridge over Sugar Creek, May 8, 1852. She married Johnson Clore, Feb 22, 1872. They lived in Crawfordsville for 50 years, where Mr. Clore was in the store business. There is one son, Alexis Clore. - kbz

Mrs. Lucinda Francis Clore, 84, resident of this city for more than half a century, died at her home 212 S. Washington Street, Saturday morning at 1:39 o'clock following an illness of a month. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Clore's husband, Johnson Clore, preceded her in death on Dec 8, 1936. At the time of his death, they had been married 64 years. Mr. Clore was a merchant here for many years. Born on a farm near Waveland on May 8, 1852, she was the daughter of Berriman and Mary Rice Clore. Her marriage to Johnson Clore took place near Waveland on Feb 22, 1872. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Clore lived on a farm in Edgar Co, Ill, for two years. At the end of that time they moved to Wallace, Ind, where they lived for 7 years before moving to Crawfordsvile in 1881, residing here since that time. She had lived at the south Washington Street address where she died for more than 50 years. The only immediate survivors is a son, Lex Clore of this city. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Utterbak & Murphy Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the home, 212 South Washington Street, all day Sunday and until 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, when the remains will be taken to the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery near Waveland. - kbz
