Newtown - Don W. Clarke, 83, a retired farmer, died Thursday morning in his home here. He had farmed in the Newtown area for the past 50 years with the exception of seven years when he lived at Darlington. Mr. Clarke was a member of Richland Chapter 205, F&AM and attended Paxton, Ill. schools. He was born Jan 18, 1889 at Paxton, a son of SB & Ella Hall Clarke. On Feb 28, 1921, he was married at Crawfordsville to Dot Work, who survives. Also surviving is a brother, SW Clarke of Hemit, Calif. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Rev. George Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
