Coahran - Mary Monk

New Richmond - Mrs. Mary Coahran, 87, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday at Westbrook Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health 10 months. Born Dec. 25, 1872, at Portsmouth, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Frances Monk. She married William Henry Coahran Dec. 25, 1892, at Portsmouth. He died Sept. 27, 1940. Mrs. Coahran was a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church and had lived in this community 42 years before moving to the nursing home. She lived in the South Raub community 18 years before moving here. Surviving are a son, Roscoe Coahran of New Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. Sheridan Geiger of New Richmond; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Helms Funeral Home at Linden with Rev. Richard Betts in charge. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
