Dora Louise Dale COHEE

(December 23, 1916 - March 7, 2007)

Dora Louise Dale Cohee, 90, of Darlington and a 6 year resident of Lane House, passed away at 10:30 am Wednesday in St. Clare Medical Center.

Mrs. Cohee was born December 23, 1916 in Montgomery County to Bert and Annabel Cohee. She graduated from Darlington High School and married Norman Cohee on October 8, 1938. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1998.

Mrs. Cohee worked for Marti's Gift Shop and later worked at the Tot Lot at the Crawfordsville Park and Rec department, monitoring the youth. She was also a Pink Lady at the hospital for close to 20 years. She was a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church.

She and her husband were the parents of five children, Dale (Bonnie) Cohee, Crawfordsville, Michael (Marilyn) Cohee, Darlington, Rebecca Branstetter, Conover, North Carolina, Elizabeth Cohee, Darlington and Mary Ryker, Lafayette.

She was "Grandma Dora" to 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. On grandson, Andrew Branstetter, preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2007. Additional survivors include two brothers, Bernard Dale, Crystal Falls, Michigan and Albert Dale, Darlington, two sisters, Ruth Wells and Barbara Hampton, both of Darlington and 17 nieces and nephews. One brother, William Dale is deceased.

Services will be held at Darlington United Methodist Church on Saturday at 1 pm. Friends may call at the church from 11 to 1 Saturday. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington.

Because of her love of Darlington, the family wold like to request contributions be made to the Darlington Public Library, P.O. Box 248, Darlington, IN 47940 and the Darlington United Methodist Church P.O. Box 86 Darlington, IN 47940.
