Mrs. Matilda J. Compton, relict of Eli Compton, died last Friday shortly before 5 o'clock at the family residence on west Market street. She was eighty-two years of age the 17th of last August and had been in failing health for some time. She had long been a resident of Crawfordsville and enjoyed the esteem of all who knew her. The funeral took place at the residence on Monday morning at ten o'clock, interment at Oak Hill - thanks to Kim H
