Saturday, John Condan, aged 60 suicided at Monon by shooting himself in th ehead. He used to live on a farm near New Ross but has been of late working as a section hand on the Monon. He has two grown sons, one living at Brazil and the other at Chicago. He has been having some trouble with his second wife about money matters. Last night the remains were brought to Crawfordsville for burial. His sons say that he had $4,000 two years ago but this cannot be found - kbz

Suspicions of foul play are current concerning the death of John Condon, formerly of this county. The facts are about as follows: Condon married a member of the Salvation Army in Creawfordsville but they lived together only a few days. He then went to Monon where he took unto himself another wife. Wife No. 1 learned the facts and sent Jerre West up to see her husband about a money settlement. Condon became alarmed after the visit of West, fearning that he would be arrested for bigamy and shot himself - kbz
