Mrs. Fannie S. Conrad, 82, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital. She had been taken to the hospital 24 hours earlier. Mrs. Conrad was born in Montgomery County on Nov. 24, 1876, to James and Alice Vanarsdall. In 1898 she married John Clinton Conrad in Crawfordsville and they moved to Darlington. Her husband died in 1944. For the past four years she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Charles W. Binford, in Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Young's Chapel Christian Church. Surviving are three daughters who live in the Crawfordsville area, Mrs. Omer Elmore, Mrs. Leaming Johnston and Mrs. Binford; one sister, Mrs. Howard Gillis of Indianapolis; two brothers, Joe Vanarsdall of Indianapolis and Howard Vanarsdall of Rochester, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Conrad was predeceased by one sister, Miss Ada Vanarsdall. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Bamish officiating, assisted by Rev. Marvin Schramm. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon. - kbz
