Helen L. Coons, 84, Webb City, Mo., formerly of Ladoga, died 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Spring River Christian Village, Joplin, Mo.
Mrs. Coons was a Residence Hall Director at Ozark Christian College with her husband. She retired in 1987.
Her memberships included First Christian Church, Webb City, Mo., and Ladoga Christian Church.
She was born May 12, 1920, at Plainfield. She married Ralph B. Coons Jan. 10, 1942. He died Aug. 30, 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Julia (Knofel) Staton, Salinas, Calif.; two sons, Max (Mary), Ladoga, and Samuel, Moorefield, West Virginia; six grandchildren; and five grea-grandchildren.
One son, Fredrick, two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Graveside services are scheduled 11 a.m. Thursday in Ladoga Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Lucking officiating.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Webb City, Mo., meorial fund.
