New Market, Aug. 29. - Jesse W. Coons, fifty-five years old, died at two o'clock this morning at his home here of tuberculosis. He had been suffering from the disease for the last year and a half. The deceased was born fifty five years ago and lived on a farm four miles southwest of Crawfordville until a year ago, when he retired from active work and moved here. He was a lifelong member of the Christian church. He also belonged to the Tribe of Ben-Hur. Mr. Coons was a Prohibitionist. His wife died two years ago. He is survived by two children, Ralph, aged twenty years, and Miss Inez, sixteen. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock and will be in charge of the Rev. A. Plunkett of Crawfordsville. The burial will be in the Mace K. of P. cemetery.  - thanks to Phil C for this one :)
