SHANNONDALE - Milford M. Coons, 67, of Shannondale died at 5 p.m. Saturday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. He had suffered a heart attack the previous Wednesday.
He was a retired employee of the Stewart Warner Co. at Lebanon. He had begun working with the company before World War II and retired in 1976. He moved to Shannondale in 1947 and was a farmer.
Born March 14, 1913 at Advance, he was a son of Guy and Ella McClain Coons. He was married in 1930 at Lebanon to Dorothy V. Guy who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Rovene) Bunnell of Waynetown; a son, Morris Coons of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services are at 1O:30 a.m. Tuesday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home at Lebanon with the Rev. Homer J. Hunnsinger officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery west of Lebanon. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
