Mrs. NORA COONS DIES SUNDAY AT BROWN’S VALLEY Well Known Resident Here Victim of Complications While on a Visit Mrs. Nora Coons, widely known woman of the county, died Sunday morning at the home of J.C. Allen of Brown’s Valley, where she had been visiting. Mrs. Coons had bee in failing health with complications for the past six months but death, came unexpectedly. She died at seven o'clock Sunday morning. The deceased was born on November 7, 1857 in Parke County at Guion, the daughter of F.M. and Mary Seybold Chockey. On June, 17, 1877 she became the wife of Theodore D. Coons, who died November 4, 1917. Mrs. Coons was a member of the Baptist church of this city. Most of her life was spent in and near Brown's Valley, although she had lived in Crawfordsville for ten years. The remains were brought to the home, 703 Milligan street, Sunday. Surviving are the following children: Frank E. Coons and Harry A. Coons, living west of New Market; Ray Coons, Pekin, Ill.; Elmer T. Coons of, near Crawfordsville; Carl E. Coons of Russellville; and .Mrs. Glen Straub, east Market street, this city. The funeral will be held from the First Baptist church at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Elmore, assisted by the Rev. Heitmeyer. Burial will be made at Indian Creek cemetery, near Brown's Valley. - kbz

Mrs. Nora Coons, the widow of the late Theodore Coons, was found in a dying condition in her bed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Allen in Browns Valley about 7 on Sunday morning. She has been in poor health and had come from her home in Crawfordsville to see the changes being made at Browns Valley. It is reported that after looking over the church she remarked that she would never be in it again. Funeral services at the Baptist Church in Crawfordsville on Tues. afternoon were attended by Frank Seybold. - kbz
