NORTH SALEM - Stella A. Coons, 77, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday in Witham Hospital at
Lebanon. She had been 10 declining health four years.
She was a daughter of William C. and Melvina Emmert Day and was born near Advance in Boone County March 22, 1883. She married Otis Coons Feb. 11, 1899. She was a member of the Advance Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lola A. Adams of North Salem and Berle J. Hicks of Indianapolis; two sons, Gene and Jack Coons of North Salem; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a nephew, Leaton Day of Advance.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Porter Funeral Home here, with Rev. Charles Ba_ r the minister. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in North
Salem.
