Coker - Sarah

Source: Crawfordsville Journal Review 1-6-1927

Mrs. Sarah Coker, formerly of this place is dead at Nampa, Idaho where she has resided for the past two yeares according to word received here yesterday by relatives. Death was caused by erysipelas. Mrs. Coker had not been in the best of health for some time.  No arrangements have been made for the funeral, but it is quite likely the body will be brought back to Indiana for burial at Oak Hill near Wingate (not in database of Waynetown Masonic Cemetery so evidently their guess was wrong) near Wingate.  Mrs. Coker leaves one son, Tracy Coker. They formerly lived in the Elmdale and Wingate neighborhoods, but moved to Crawfordsville when Tracy entered Wabash college here. He graduated from the local institution in 1925 with high honors in scholarship and forensics, and accepted a position on the faculty of the Nampa, Idaho schools in Sept 1925. His mother accompanied him to the western city and has since made her home there. - kbz
