John Connor, a veteran of the Civil War died at the Soldier’s Home in Lafayette, early Monday morning. The body was brought to the Barnhill Undertaking Parlors in this city Monday afternoon. A sister of the deceased, Miss Mary Connor lives in this city at 209 Morgan Street. The funeral will be held at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning from the St. Bernard Church. Burial will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
