Darlington July 14 – In ill health a year, George W. Conrad died at 2 o’clock this morning at the family home, two miles northwest of here. Funeral services will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with interment in the local IOOF Cemetery.  The deceased was born in Montgomery County April 25, 1859 a son of James and Elizabeth Conrad.  He was married Nov 7, 1889 to Mattie Gilland (sic) who died in 1913 and Oct 2, 1919 was married to Isabelle Wisehart.  He was a member of the Methodist Church here.  Surviving are the widow; three sons and four daughters by the first marriage, Harley and Lewis, Darlington, Albert of Logansport; Mrs. Freda Hampton, Darlington; Mrs. Dorothy Payne, Colfax, Mrs. Evangeline Louth, Frankfort and Densil Emmert, Bedford; four stepchildren; Mrs. Mertin Stwalley, Darlington; Mrs. Chayse Cox, New Ross; Harold Wisehart, Washington DC and Miss Rosaline Wisehart, at home; a brother, Ed Conrad of Muncie and 20 grandchildren.
