Thomas Edward Conrad, 85, former telephone company executive died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at his home, 2803 S. Pershing Dr. A lineman for many years, he lived near Darlington south of Crawfordsville. For three years he owned the Russellville Telephone System and was manager of the New Market and Roachdale systems. He lived in Muncie for the past two years. Mr. Conrad was a member of Dalrington Congregational Church. Surviving are his widow, Daisy Walton Conrad; two daughters, Mrs. Leon Doyle of Muncie and Mrs. Halfred Quigg of Sheridan; a son, Adrian B. Conrad of Blountsville; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home, Darlington by the Rev. Ernest Treber. Burial will be in Darlington Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Darlington where the body was taken Sunday morning from the Piepho Funeral Home. - kbz
