Christian D. Cook died July 8, 1897, at the age of 60 years 3 months and 8 days. Funeral at the house by Rev. Rayle. Interment at the Rice cemetery. Mr. Cook was a good neighbor a loving father and a kind husband. He leaves a family of a companion and six children, together with neighbors and friends to mourn his loss. May God bless and sustain them all in this their time of sorrow. – kbz
