A tenant house on the farm of Wm Strain, one mile east of Bowers Station and occupied by Harrison Sprager was consumed by fire Wednesday evening. A few of their household goods were saved. Among the many neighbors who came to their assistance was a young man by the name of Elmer Cook, who worked hard and became somewhat excited and after all was done that could be in saving the goods, was standing talking when he was seen to fall, and before any assistance could be rendered, was dead.
