Colfax – William S. Cook, 87, a retired farmer of three miles west of Colfax, died in the Colfax Nursing Home Tuesday after an illness of six months. Born in Montgomery County, he was married in 1892 to Alice W. Stucky who died in 1943. He spent his life in this community and was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving are a son, Lloyd of near Linden; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Booher of near Clarks Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Rice, Monticello and Mrs. Mae McGuire, Indianapolis and a brother, George of Lafayette.  

Source: Same “Funeral Notices” – Cook, William S. Friends may call at Williams Funeral Home, Colfax where private services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. George Erwin officiating; burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
