Russellville - Mrs., Alva Evelyn Cooper, 76, a resident of Russellville many years, died Thursday afternoon at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville after an extended illness. Mrs. Cooper was born in Fountain County Oct 12, 1880, the daughter of George and Alice Hanna Hyatt. She was married March 29, 1902 to Frank Cooper of Russellville. He served a number of years as assessor of Putnam County. Mr. Cooper preceded her in death March 29, 1954. Mrs. Cooper is survived by three sons, Eston Cooper of Roachdale; Harold Cooper of Pontiac, Mich and Donald Cooper of Russellville; a brother, John Hyatt of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Hall of Veedersburg; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Russellville Federated Church Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Glen Berg, the pastor as the officiatnig minister. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the church. Before the service, the body will lie in state at the church for one hour. Burial will take place in the Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown. Friends may call at the Fran Cooper Home in Russellville. - klbz
