LEWELLEN COPPAGE

Lewellen G. Coppage, 83-year-old retired Crawfordsville businessman, died Wednesday evening in Culver Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Coppage owned and operated Coppage Laundry & Cleaners here from 1911 until retirement in 1950. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Ben Hur Lodge, OES and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Coppage was born July 25, 1876, in Hillsboro, the son of Lewellen G. and Emma Rivercomb Coppage. He was married in 1902 to Bessie Ryan. She is his only immediate survivor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Hilton Whitaker in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
