Edith Mae Corbin, 73, a lifetime resident of the Crawfordsville area, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Arvel Willoughby of 412 W. Main St. Friday at 8:45 p.m. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Corbin, who lived at 803 Elmore St., was born Jan. 12, 1895, in Montgomery County, the daughter of John R. and Margaret Ann Redenbaugh Keesee. She married Martin Corbin on Oct. 28, 1914. Mrs. Corbin was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church of Brownsburg. Survivors include a son, John S. of Brownsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Sparks of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Willoughby and Mrs. Curtis Eubanks of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Patricia Corbin Michaels, was reared in Mrs. Corbin’s home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
